I missed out on all that mate was born in 83… Can’t reply on other thread but I hope you’re well.. I live with my 55 yr old handicapped uncle who has the brain of a 3 yr old, and he’s dying of cancer, don’t think he’ll last much longer, so not good here, hard times.. Cancer is relentless, a shock to us all as it doesn’t run through our family..😔 I hope you and your family are faring better my man.

Probably the best thing I’ve heard on any sports radio channel in my entire lifetime.

Crooks (Jamaican) won more though. 2 fa cups and a uefa cup. Hoddle used to serve him and Archibald up proper

Crooks was before my time brother, so I never had the fortune of watching him play. Nor Hoddle. Can watch clips but obviously not much content as there was less televised back then.. I always loved Defoe, never wanted him sold. I thought he was on the bench too much for us and England. So I would say Defoe but with heavy bias.

They’d do what sky have done and play the games when they feel the biggest audience is in front of its TV.

Something really fishy about this whole Super League thing. It was sold as being needed because of global demand, and the need to attract a younger audience.

But I have heard Americans say the Champions League is shown there mostly mid afternoon with most people at work and the viewing figures aren’t great.

The farther East you go to India, China, Japan you have the same time problem. The Company that was linked with broadcasting the Super League had to give up the Champions League rights as their finances collapsed, nobody was interested in paying for the Champions League.

The interest in the States, Middle East and Far East is in the Premier League not the Champions League or any Super League.

The only way for the Super League to compete would be to switch from midweek to Saturday and Sunday games at times that suit them.

That would be an attack on the Premier League and games would start here in Europe mid morning or afternoon or very late.

In the end I don’t think there is any real demand for this ESL worldwide, its us here in the UK and Europe who are still comparatively richer than those other countries that would have paid for this with hugely increased prices and more slicing and dicing of the subs where you would need six or seven subs to watch all the games.

Plus those CL reforms are a joke, they have added 100+ games to the competition by my reckoning, so talk from them of “the greedy super league” is MORE sickening than the dozen clubs open enough to try it.

He’s bang on. This was predicted in ‘92 an ESL was always on the cards. I genuinely think it will still happen. The way we travel and live our lives now and we as move forward it’s inevitable.

No fan of Barnes but couldn’t agree more with him here, we live in a society where I’m Alright Jacks soporifically live their lives and can’t or won’t see how they are being exploited.
