Jamie O’Hara reckons star with 17 goal contributions ‘will come’ to Tottenham

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Leicester City midfielder James Maddison in recent months.

The 26-year-old is expected to leave the Foxes in the summer and Spurs have been linked with a summer move.

Tottenham need to add more creativity and goals from the centre of their midfield and the England international could prove to be a quality acquisition.

Maddison is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an immediate impact at Tottenham.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs can convince the player to join them, especially without the lure of Champions League football. It seems highly unlikely that Tottenham will be able to finish in the top four this season.

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has now shared his thoughts on Tottenham’s prospects of signing the midfielder and claimed that Maddison would definitely join the club given the option.

He said: “He will come. Of course, he will come.”

Maddison will add creativity and goals to the side in the final third and a signing like him will help players like Harry Kane as well.

The 29-year-old Tottenham striker has had to drop deep and create goal-scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates quite often. Signing a quality playmaker will allow the England international to focus on his goal-scoring. Maddison could share the goal-scoring and creative burden as well. He has 9 goals and 8 assists to his name across all competitions.

The 26-year-old has proven himself in the Premier League with Leicester City over the years, and he deserves to take the next step in his career. Maddison should look to join a club competing in Europe and Tottenham are well-placed to secure Europa League football for the next season.
