Jamie Carragher has backed Tottenham to do well in the upcoming season.
According to Carragher’s predictions reported by the Daily Mail, Tottenham are set to secure the final Champions League spot, beating Manchester United to it.
The former Liverpool man predicted the top 4, backing Manchester City to continue their dominance, with Pep Guardiola’s side expected to claim their fifth consecutive Premier League title.
Arsenal, who have closely challenged City in recent seasons, are predicted to finish as runners-up once again.
Liverpool, despite undergoing a managerial transition following Jurgen Klopp’s departure, have been backed to finish third by their former defender.
And Carragher has tipped Tottenham, under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou, to clinch fourth place ahead of Manchester United, who are expected to end the season in fifth.
Tottenham have bolstered their squad significantly over the summer, including a major £65 million signing of striker Dominic Solanke.
They have also strengthened their midfield with the signings of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall.
Additionally, the club has secured Timo Werner on loan for another year and have emerging talents like Mikey Moore poised to play key roles.
They enjoyed a great pre-season and if they can continue playing the same way, they have a good chance of finishing top 4.
