Former Tottenham striker Peter Crouch believes it’s a worrying time for Spurs fans after their Champions League exit.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg against RB Leipzig in their round-of-16 tie, Tottenham fell to a 3-0 defeat in Germany on Tuesday night to end their hopes in Europe this season.
With a gap to bridge in the Premier League coupled with their exit from the FA Cup last week, the pressure is building on Jose Mourinho and his players to salvage something from their campaign.
As seen in the video below, Crouch, Rio Ferdinand and Glenn Hoddle all painted a negative picture of the current situation for Spurs, with the general consensus being that there is real concern.
While Ferdinand focused on the gap in quality between the two sides across both legs, Hoddle questioned whether or not Mourinho has in fact experienced such a disastrous run of form previously as Spurs have now gone six games without a win across all competitions.
As for Crouch, he noted: “It’s worrying for the fans. Their season could peter out.”
They’ll have to pick themselves up quickly with a crunch encounter with Manchester United ahead this weekend, but after their memorable European run last season, there will be no such repeat this time around.
I think you’re right, well, not any manager but certainly one who commands a fair salary.

Levy is not pretending to even back him. Why dont people just see it for how it is. Levy refused to back Poch. Poch in 2017 said this must be done. He didnt. Now its the case of what was going to always happen. Levy told the THST that he was not going to spend any money regardless of what the stadium made and that most importantly spending money does not guarantee success. The same way that buying a lottery ticket does not guarantee being a millionaire. The difference is that Liverpool have proved otherwise in the Prem and no one thinks that buying Clinton Njie is going to – or Nelson Saha. Anyway….. Levy has got to the stage where he doesnt need die hard fans any more. Levy has never spent and his toxic personality has destroyed us. We could have kept Michell and Poch and built something. He cannot be sitting there on an Amazon domumentary thinking hes enjoying this shit under Mourinho who is a busted flush. A cheque collector at best.
Ndombele didn’t perform for Poch, nor has he performed for Mourinho, hence I lumped him in with all the other mediocre players we have recently acquired.
So did Tanguy, supposedly Poch called him and explained what he wanted from him and the way he worked with players.
I’m not suggesting he’s sulking because Poch has gone but put yourself in his and Gio’s shoes. You’re expecting to work with a manager who improves young players and plays a certain way.

Look for Kane to get another long term injury at some point and Mourinho will end up out of a job and not a minute too soon. I can only hope he’ll walk away before August and we can start the season with someone more forward thinking and someone who’s tactics and approach aren’t five years out of date.

We have some fantastic players in our Squad. We don’t need a rebuild we just need a few added. A on the pitch leader for example. Yousef atal would be nice too. Ben Chigwell also can come.
