“It’s worrying for the fans” Pundits react to Spurs’ exit from Champions League
By Ron Carne -

Former Tottenham striker Peter Crouch believes it’s a worrying time for Spurs fans after their Champions League exit.

Trailing 1-0 from the first leg against RB Leipzig in their round-of-16 tie, Tottenham fell to a 3-0 defeat in Germany on Tuesday night to end their hopes in Europe this season.

With a gap to bridge in the Premier League coupled with their exit from the FA Cup last week, the pressure is building on Jose Mourinho and his players to salvage something from their campaign.

As seen in the video below, Crouch, Rio Ferdinand and Glenn Hoddle all painted a negative picture of the current situation for Spurs, with the general consensus being that there is real concern.

While Ferdinand focused on the gap in quality between the two sides across both legs, Hoddle questioned whether or not Mourinho has in fact experienced such a disastrous run of form previously as Spurs have now gone six games without a win across all competitions.

As for Crouch, he noted: “It’s worrying for the fans. Their season could peter out.”

They’ll have to pick themselves up quickly with a crunch encounter with Manchester United ahead this weekend, but after their memorable European run last season, there will be no such repeat this time around.

We might as well of kept Poch, finished 8th or 9th and played better football… 😂

    Same place, better vibes.

  2. Lilywhite without the II says:

    Tripps looked good.

Spurs are going to Singapore for pre season…maybe Jose should get Tanguy to make his own way there, by foot!

  3. Eddie says:

Trippier has improved beyond recognition under Simeone if tonight is anything to go by.

  4. hankhandsome says:

Levy didn’t back Poch so what makes anyone think he’ll back Mourinho ?

We’ve got a whole season of this to look forward to come August.

Look for Kane to get another long term injury at some point and Mourinho will end up out of a job and not a minute too soon. I can only hope he’ll walk away before August and we can start the season with someone more forward thinking and someone who’s tactics and approach aren’t five years out of date.

100% agree with every word of that.

    • Tappaspur says:

      Coz we have money now?

      • MrChickenHead says:

We have always had money, always.

        • Tappaspur says:

No we have not. If we did we wouldn’t have brought sugar in. El Tels idea that was. He just didn’t realize sugar would be so buisne$$ like. One good look at the books and that was it for Tel. And the champagne at scribes😂

          • Tappaspur says:

Loved sugar for bringing kinsman in and building the south stand. I enjoyed watching it going up. Who knew I’d be working on the next one. When he hired raincoat man all the love just vanished. Never has a cup meant so not as much as it should. I hated him there. Levy came in and sacked him🌚 I always got behind his teams. Would never sing his name though.

Didn’t Atletico build a brand new stadium and spend €107m on Joao Felix? Mmmm.

  6. Tappaspur says:

We have some fantastic players in our Squad. We don’t need a rebuild we just need a few added. A on the pitch leader for example. Yousef atal would be nice too. Ben Chigwell also can come.

    • JimmyGrievance says:

Taking, Kane, Son and Lo Celso out of the squad. Name 1 player who’d get in any of the current top 4 teams ?

    • East Stand says:

No chance of Chillwell, he’ll be playing Champions League with Leicester next season, we’ll be lucky if we make the Ropey at this rate. I’d take their manager too, better than Jose these days. But then who isn’t?

  7. EssexSpur says:

‘Could peter out’, it’s officially over now. Thank god we have 41 points, because I can’t see where our next ones are coming from! As for serial winner, Maureen’s yesterdays man.

    • Urbane Sturgeon says:

Surely we have to allow for one full season and at least one summer transfer window before we judge him proper.

      • Tappaspur says:

You didn’t expect a sensible reply from that sensible comment did you? Oh yeah I just did

      • Andy says:

A summer transfer window under Levy is not necessarily what it means for other clubs. It is possible, as a business model to actually go 2 windows without buying.

    • Andy says:

How about we have specific St Peeter’s Day under Levy’s reign?
