“It’s time for him to go somewhere” Tottenham tipped to offload several players including top star

Former Premier League goalkeeper, Paddy Kenny has tipped Antonio Conte to offload some Tottenham players including Dele Alli as he rebuilds the club.

Harry Winks and Ben Davies are two other Tottenham players who have struggled to impress at the club recently.

Their poor performances are one of the reasons Spurs cannot compete with other top Premier League clubs.

It is expected that the appointment of Conte will see things change around the club and to get it back competiting for a top-four spot.

However, a player like Alli has been very poor under Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo.

Kenny insists the Englishman is talented, but he hasn’t hit the heights we all expected of him and has now tipped him to leave Tottenham.

He told Football Insider: “Winks has not been involved a lot, Alli has been in and out, Davies isn’t getting many games.

“Alli is such a wasted talent. It’s time for him to go somewhere and get a fresh start. That’s been clear for a while now. The same goes for the other two. I think they’ll go.

“I was surprised to hear that director of football say that about transfers when they are chasing that top six.

“They could do with three or four £60m to £70m player to get anywhere near, unless Conte can work his magic again.”

Alli has hit a brick wall in his development and Spurs might no longer be the right club for him.

The midfielder is talented and has shown what he can do before, but the club cannot keep waiting for him to return to form.

Winks has similarly been out of favour as Oliver Skipp and other midfielders have been performing better than him.

A move away is best for him and the club, but a lack of options on the bench could yet see Conte keep him in the squad.
