“It’s this year or never for him” Kane told to leave Spurs now or forget about leaving

Graeme Souness has warned Harry Kane that it is now or never if he is serious about leaving Tottenham.

The striker will go down as one of the best in the game’s history, but he also risks having a career that lacks trophies.

He has continued to attract the attention of top European teams as he keeps getting better at scoring and providing goals.

Spurs want to keep him and that is one reason why they made Jose Mourinho their manager, tasking the Special One with helping them to win trophies.

They have reached the final of the Carabao Cup this season, but they have been eliminated from the Europa League.

The Lilywhites are also facing an uphill task in achieving a top-four finish and Kane is a player that deserves to play in the Champions League always.

At 27, Kane is at the peak of his career and Souness reckons that if he doesn’t leave this summer, then he will miss out on a move to a big team.

He said on Sky Sports as quoted by Mail Sport: ‘The two prizes that are out there are (Erling) Haaland and Kane. Haaland is still a question mark but it gets smaller each week.

‘With Harry there is no question mark, we know what we’re getting. Everything about him about him is a pleasure to watch from trying to get the ball back to delivering cute and clever passes, to getting shots off when you don’t think he’s getting shots off, to being so accurate when he does shoot.

‘I think with Harry it’s this year or never for him. If he’s thinking about going, and if he decides to extend his contract he won’t be going getting a big move after that.’
