The January transfer window opens up in a few days. It will allow for Tottenham Hotspur and, more importantly, manager Antonio Conte can begin to mold the squad into his vision.
One of the positions the north London club wants to address is the midfield, and one target linked to them over the past few months is Juventus’ Weston McKennie. According to Calciomercato, Spurs will pursue the American as Conte wants a versatile player to implement his style of play.
In the coming weeks, Tottenham could look to part ways with Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, and Dele Alli, leaving room in the midfield for someone like McKennie to come into the squad.
The Italian media outlet reveals that Juventus wants to earn back at least what they invested regarding the cost. The Serie A side spent €4.5-million to initially sign McKennie on loan, then €18.5-million over three years, plus €6.5-million in potential add-ons.
For Juventus to part ways with McKennie, the Turin club seeks between €30-million and €35-million to sell the 23-year-old.
