Dressing room sources told The Athletic this week that Tanguy Ndombele was losing support at Tottenham because of “a distinct lack of effort” in training?
Does this clip show a man going through the motions?
So Tanguy is rinsing his own team mates in training but he can’t get a kick of the ball on Matchday?

There is an intensity to Ndombele’s movement and an audacity to the skill level here which suggests to me that he is trying to impress.
Of course Spurs aren’t going to let a video of him labouring through his paces get out, but this doesn’t look to me like a player who has thrown the towel in.

A 5 second sprint and dummy against aurier followed by a goal in training.. Thats not even a training match so how he is rinsing his team mates beats me.. I would like to watch a whole training with match scenario at the end… A match is 90 minutes not 5 seconds.
That was a 5 second clip as well…… Against Aurier 😆
Damn right.
Criticism directed at Ndombele has been justified through his performances. There should not be a Spurs supporter who doesn’t appreciate the talent he has, but he has to show the fans that he cares. Lo Celso had a difficult start to his Spurs career, but when he played he put his heart and soul in to it. Just before lockdown, without Kane and Son he was the only shining light of quality. Against Utd he came on and didn’t hide, then he dominated an albeit poor West Ham team. As fans we know when a player is ‘playing for the shirt’ and when one is going through the motions. I am sure Ndombele will get his chance before the end of the season. He needs to prove his worth to us, the fans. The fans that if given the opportunity would metaphorically die for the club. Ndombele, like all these Spurs players are in a fortunate position, to play for a major club in the EPL. Sissoko has infuriated and frustrated every single Spurs fan, but he now has my respect for not giving up and putting the effort in. I don’t particularly rate him as a footballer, but I respect him as a man and for someone who knows his job is to play for us.
Lol. Game of football lasts more than 1 minute. Not a Tanguy hater but this clip doesn’t tell us a lot. We need to see him tackling, winning the ball back and running himself into the ground, like his teammates do. We know he has the skill, he needs to show more application in a match. I trust the manager.
