International Call Ups Set To Handicap Some Premier League Sides, Including Spurs

By The Boy -

Players travelling to red-list countries would have to follow UK COVID regulations upon their return, ruling them out of club matches – and this now includes a number of Premier League stars, including Cristian Romero And Giovanni Lo Celso who are both currently heading towards The Red Light Zone…

It appears not to be a uniform decision, and some clubs acquiescing to the players, and some are not. Aston Villa duo Martínez and Buendia have also joined Argentina for World Cup qualifiers, whereas Liverpool has not released Mohamed Salah for his nation’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Angola and Gabon.

Re Archibald&Crooks
They are not starters in the first 11 currently,so the fact they will be missing is not so terrible. But with no N’Dombele MF is without options if LoCelso is not available.

Like Easty I too have mentioned the lack of creativety in MF and would have classed it as a priority in this window. However with us sitting on top of the leagus Baldy is unlikely to see the need for further spending. It is so shortsighted. Also of course nobody seems interested in our deadwood.

As an aside, I’m quite concerned about our lack of a playmaker. We had a moment of inspiration from Sonny against Watford but out midfield trio of PEH, Dele and Skipp lack vision and creativity. I can see this becoming an issue over the season.

It doesn’t look like anyone can get Tangy to play football, train and even fulfil his obligations as a professional sportsman. Therefore we have nobody in our squad with the tools in their locker to provide this element to the team.

Unless something happens before the deadline I feel we will be feeling the effects of this over time…
