Insider claims Spurs close to completing two ‘marquee’ signings; personal terms agreed for one

According to Football Insider, Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Destiny Udogie after Udinese accepted a £20 million buy-to-loan bid.

Spurs have agreed to pay an initial fee of £15 million for Udogie, which could rise to £20 million with add-ons. The 19-year-old will only undergo a medical in Italy before being loaned back to Udinese for the rest of the season.

Destiny appeared 35 times in Serie A for Udinese on loan from Hellas Verona last season before an obligatory purchase option was triggered earlier this summer. His performance for Udinese earned him a call-up to the Italy Under-21 team, where he now has four caps.

He is set to become Spurs’ seventh signing of the summer following the likes of Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Perisic, Fraser Forster, Clement Lenglet, and Djed Spence.

However, Udogie is reportedly not expected to be Tottenham’s final major signing. According to sources, Tottenham are hoping to sign one more ‘marquee’ player before the transfer deadline of August 31.
