Injury boost for Spurs ahead of the match against Fulham

Tottenham summer signing Brennan Johnson was spotted in training ahead of their game against Fulham on Monday night.

The £47.5m deadline day signing from Nottingham Forest picked up a hamstring injury during the North London derby that ended in a 2-2 draw.

His injury was not too serious as confirmed by the manager himself. He missed the last two games but returned to training this week with Spurs hoping he’d be fit for the Premier League game against the Cottagers.

Spurs have been on a terrific form this season under new manager Ange Postecoglou. They are unbeaten in the league so far and currently sit on top of the Premier League table.

The report from London World also claims that Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil could feature against Fulham.

Lo Celso hugely impressed in the pre-season and despite there being talks of a summer move away to Spain, he ended up staying at the club as he reportedly wanted to succeed at Spurs. He has only made 2 appearances for Spurs this season, 1 off the bench in the Premier League and one start in the League cup against Fulham.

Meanwhile Bryan Gil has not yet had a chance to play under Ange yet due to his injuries but the manager is said to have been impressed by him in training.
