“In the coming days” – Alasdair Gold says two more transfers still possible despite window closing

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham may still see Alfie Devine and Sergio Reguilon depart this summer, even though the UK transfer window has already closed.

According to Alasdair Gold, both players have the chance to move as transfer windows in other countries remain open.

Alfie Devine, a talented 20-year-old midfielder under contract with Spurs until June 2027, was on the verge of securing a loan move to Birmingham City on Deadline Day.

However, the deal collapsed at the last minute, prompting Tottenham to explore alternative options for his development.

With several European windows still open, the club is keen to find a suitable team where Devine can gain valuable first-team experience.

Alasdair Gold shares on X:

“No exit for Sergio Reguilon or loan move for Alfie Devine in the UK transfer window. Both still have further chances in the remaining open windows across Europe in the coming days.”

Sergio Reguilon, who is in the final year of his contract, is another player likely to leave before the summer window completely closes.

The Spanish left-back is not part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the new season.

After spending the latter part of last season on loan at Brentford, where he provided four assists in 16 appearances, Reguilon remains a potential departure.

Tottenham are actively looking for a new club for him, with interest from teams in Turkey, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Saudi Arabia providing potential exit routes.

As Spurs continue to manage their squad, the possible exits of Devine and Reguilon could free up both space and resources, allowing the club to concentrate on its objectives for the upcoming season.
