‘Impressive’ defender admits he dreams of signing for Tottenham

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the talented young defender Milan Majstorovic.

According to a report from MetaRatings, the youngster is a boyhood Tottenham fan and he dreams of playing in the Premier League for them.

The defender dubbed as ‘impressive’ by the Russian outlet, went on to reveal that former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is someone he has idolised and modelled his game on. Majstorovic revealed his admiration for the former Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic as well.

He said: “Vidic and (ex-Chelsea star Branislav) Ivanovic are great role models. My dream is to go to a top league thanks to Dinamo.

“I think that this is where I can become an excellent defender. But if we talk about a specific league, I really like the English Premier League. The English style of play suits me.

“It would be great to end up at Tottenham. I have been following Spurs since childhood. And yes, I understand that not many people support this club. But I liked them.”

The Dinamo Moscow defender is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him. He could be a quality long-term investment for Tottenham if they decide to move for him in the near future.

It’s no secret that Spurs need to bring in a talented young defender who can partner Cristian Romero at the heart of the defence in the years to come.

While Majstorovic is far from ready to start for a club like Tottenham, he has the potential to develop into a quality Premier League defender and working with a world-class coach like Antonio Conte will only accelerate his development.

So far there have not been any transfer links between the player and Tottenham and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

HE’s 17,i doubt Conte would be remotely interested in somebody who might be good enough in 3-4 years, because he won’t be with us then.

According to TrandferMarkt he doesn’t join Dinamo. Moscow until February next year. He’s still with his junior side in Serbia.
