“I’m told that Tottenham…” – Fabrizio Romano hints Spurs won’t stop at Solanke in exciting transfer update

Tottenham are preparing for an active finish to the summer transfer window, with the club not only focused on signing Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke but also considering the addition of another attacking player.

As reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are eager to strengthen their attack and could potentially secure two forward signings before the window closes.

Discussions have already begun regarding Solanke, who has caught the eye with his performances at Bournemouth. However, Tottenham’s plans extend beyond just one signing.

Romano suggests that the Lilywhites are also keen on bringing in a wide forward to further enhance their attacking options.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, the transfer expert said:

“I think the main focus is going to be up front. They need one more offensive player, at least one. Could be two, based on opportunities. But for sure, Tottenham will be busy there.

“For example, one of the players they like is Dominic Solanke. It’s something that I said in the past few days because I’m told that Tottenham really explored the possibility of making a move for Dominic Solanke.”

The club has pinpointed Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze and Wolves’ Pedro Neto as their top targets. Eze’s transfer could involve triggering his £60 million release clause, a significant investment for Spurs.

Pedro Neto, another player who has been on Tottenham’s radar for some time, is also expected to come with a similar price tag. With both players under contract with their current clubs until 2027, securing their signatures may prove to be a challenging task for the Lilywhites.

Despite these potential hurdles, Tottenham’s leadership is committed to significantly reinforcing the squad. Adding Solanke, alongside another attacker like Eze or Neto, would provide a substantial boost to the team’s offensive strength.

As the transfer deadline looms, Spurs supporters will be eagerly anticipating news of these potential signings, hoping that the club can finalise these deals and strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
