‘I’m told Spurs have a plan in place’ Ornstein shares positive update

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur parted ways with Fabio Paratici a few months ago and they are now looking to bring in a director of football.

The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has revealed that Tottenham already have a plan in place to bring in a new director of football and it will be a low-key appointment.

Apparently, Tottenham are looking to bring in the right man for the job instead of hiring a big name.

Ornstein said: “I’m told Spurs have a plan in place. I don’t have a name, but the last I heard the appointment is expected to be relatively low-key, a bit like Postecoglou, rather than a huge name.”

They took a similar approach with their managerial appointment when they brought in Ange Postecoglou and the appointment has worked wonders so far.

The Australian has done a phenomenal job at Tottenham and they are currently unbeaten in the Premier League.

Spurs will take on Liverpool at the weekend and they will be hoping to close in on the league leaders with a victory at home.

Apart from their ability to pick up results, they have played a free-flowing attacking brand of football which has excited fans as well as neutrals.

Tottenham have a talented squad at their disposal and they have an exciting manager in charge as well.

If they can supplement that with a quality director of football, there is no reason why they cannot put together a formidable side in the coming months.

Getting the structure right at the top will be crucial to Tottenham’s hopes of challenging for major trophies in the coming seasons and Daniel Levy must look to get the appointment right.
