Tottenham skipper Son Heung-min has opened up on his interaction with teenage sensation Mikey Moore.

The North London club are all set to host Qarabağ in their opening Europa League fixture and Mikey Moore could once again make an appearance for the Tottenham first team. The Spurs academy graduate came off the bench for a two-minute cameo against Brentford last time out and recent reports suggest he will most likely feature in the European fixture.

The 17-year-old winger was left out of their Under-21 squad for the game against Exeter City which was the initial hint regarding him being involved in the Europa League fixture and he has also been spotted training with the first team. Moore is considered to be one of the brightest talents to come out of their academy and everyone at the club seems to be excited to see him succeed at the senior level.

Tottenham skipper Son Heung-min recently talked about the teenager at length. He revealed what Moore has been doing behind the scenes during his sessions with the first team and what it feels like to interact with the youngster who shares the same role.

While speaking on football.london, Son said: “Now I want to be that guy as well, you know, just having him around me and just talking about things.

“Because we are playing in a similar position that if I can help him a little bit with advice, then I’m always open to it.

“Mikey is also coming to me most of the times and asking questions, which is very fun. I enjoy talking to him.

“He’s a fantastic boy and then I’m definitely sure that he can be a fantastic player. There’s no doubt because he has such amazing quality.”

While speaking about the 17-year-old, Son recalled how former Manchester United forward Ruud van Nistelrooy had guided him and pretty much taken him under his wings during his time at Hamburg.

The Manchester United legend had played a big part in the South Korean international’s development and the Tottenham skipper now hopes to help out young Moore who tends to regularly seek advice from him.

Son feels he can help out the young winger as both of them share the same role. The 32-year-old is enjoying interacting with the youngster who often comes up to him with questions. Apart from his interactions with the teenager, Son even suggested that he has no doubts that Moore will go on to be a fantastic player because of the abilities that he has.
