Jamie O’Hara believes Tottenham will finish inside the top four next season following an impressive campaign under Ange Postecoglou.
The North London club were in contention for a top-four spot throughout the season but a dip in form towards the end saw them miss out on Champions League qualification. In the end, they finished fifth and managed to secure Europa League football for the next season.
A top-four finish in Ange Postecoglou’s first season in charge would have been considered a great success. Unfortunately, they couldn’t secure Champions League football but there were a lot of positives.
Former midfielder Jamie O’Hara is excited to watch them in action next season under the Australian manager and he is quite confident about them building on their performances in the recently concluded season.
While talking to Sky Sports, the 37-year-old said: “I think next season, I’m excited for Spurs, Daniel Levy’s got to sign some decent players, we know that.
“The squad players aren’t good enough, you need to keep trying to shift them aside and I think Ange is trying to do that.
“I think we should try and get Eze, try and get Conor Gallagher from Chelsea, players who are doing it in the Premier League.
“I think if you add them to the squad, I think we can (finish) top four and try and win a trophy.”
O’Hara seems excited to about Spurs next term after having seen them play an attractive and attacking brand of football in the 2023/24 season. But, he feels Daniel Levy will need to bring in a few signings to strengthen the squad as a whole. Spurs have a lot of quality in their starting XI but the former Tottenham midfielder feels they need to have better squad players.
They have been linked with players like Eberechi Eze and Conor Gallagher who are proven performers in the Premier League. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can sign the aforementioned players and improve their squad during the summer window.
