“I love him”, “breath of fresh air” – Ex United player expresses his admiration for refreshing Tottenham figure

Former Manchester United player Phil Neville has expressed his admiration for Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou, hailing him as a “breath of fresh air.”

Neville’s comments came ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Fulham on NBC Sports.

Neville commended Postecoglou for his authenticity and the positive impact he has had on the club since his arrival in the summer.

He also noted that many underestimated the Australian manager before his appointment at Spurs.

He said:

“I love him. I think he’s been a breath of fresh air, someone who just looks totally authentic.”

“They can go top of the league tomorrow night I think. But I don’t think they are quite there yet. I think they’ve had a good start, they’ve got a little bit of momentum, good feeling. I think the jury’s still out, for me, whether they can reach the top four.

“I go back to what I said about David Moyes and Unai Emery at the start of the show, it’s because it’s not a fashionable name.

This guy’s been coaching at the top level for a long time, at national level, at Celtic and around the world.

And just because he’s not fashionable, people underestimate the quality of these type of guys. He’s been a total breath of fresh air.

If there was someone that you’d want to sit down and talk to at this moment in time, I’d say I want to go and have a beer with him because I think he’d give you so many lessons in how to deal with people, react to people.”

TBH Says:

Ange has indeed been a breath of fresh air at Spurs. No one expected him to make an impact this quickly but he has completely transformed the club in a short time.

The positive impact of Ange Postecoglou’s arrival at Tottenham is evident as he has managed to lift the mood and atmosphere at the club.

Under his leadership, Spurs have been playing some of the best football. Every single player is putting in top performances under him and the results are evident as Spurs remain unbeaten in the league.

The 2-0 win against Fulham has taken them back to the top of the Premier League table, two points above Manchester City and Arsenal.
