‘I knew I had to do something’ watch Spurs man make interesting post Man City admission

Beating Manchester City last night was something else. Ange Postecoglou had been under a fair amount of pressure (if you believe some of what’s posted on forums and message boards, and beating the Premier League table toppers was just what was needed to silence the critics.

After the game, Tottenham attacker Dejan Kulusevski revealed that this game had been on his mind for some time. This was not an ordinary cup tie to the Swede.

“It’s a personal thing, everybody that is close to me knows it and I knew that I was going to shine because I prepared for this game for a long time. I knew I had to perform, and I did. I’ve played City away three times and scored three times. There is no fear. In fact, it’s the complete opposite of fear. It changes everything when you’re going to go in at half-time at 2-0 and then it’s 2-1. But we handled it well in the second half, we created so many chances and if we killed the game before it would be all over.”

Good stuff!
