‘I expect them to…’ Journalist makes two exciting claims about Spurs’ unfinished transfer business

Darren Lewis of The Mirror has claimed that Tottenham are not done spending yet and will be looking to bring in two big money signings before the transfer window shuts.

Spurs have signed 6 players so far this transfer window, spending around €101m on transfers. However, it’s suggested that Spurs still have a large chunk of the initial £150m investment available. It is also understood that Spurs are actively looking to offload at least 7 players which would raise sufficient money to financially back the two signings they are looking for.

While speaking to Last Word On Spurs on their Youtube channel, he said:

“I expect them to invest in a commanding central defender and an attacking central midfielder – both those two will cost a lot of money, and you will need to sell players to be able to raise that money to do that.”

Amongst those that Spurs plan on offloading are Japhet Tanganga, Sergio Reguilon, Joe Rodon, Ndombele, and Giovani Lo Celso, who has been linked with a cash plus player deal to Roma in exchange for Zaniolo.

Look at the net spend figure at the end of this window and see if this “war chest” has been used.

Can’t see Sarr being part of the squad this season. Looks a talented boy, but just so thin.

Personally I’d love to see a Champ loan for him, maybe until January and see where it goes.

Skipp stays 100%. Bissouma takes Einks place and we have four to fight

Think we were linked with him last season. Good player – big and strong. Would definitely put pressure on Dier for a place.

Think Skipp is ready to complete for a first team place. Sarr has potential but I think a loan out to a Championship club would help ‘break him in’ so to speak.

Romano says Roden is off to Rennes. A loan with an option to buy after. Done deal.. The offloading and filtering has begun.

I wont be able to sleep for a week when a teamsheet is announced with our CBs as Romero/Torres (Skriniar)/Lenglet with Sanchez on loan at Forest.

Good point I am in that camp but not massively only seen him play once but his stats for last season were incredible?

Why does everyone love Maddison here? Not even an England international, second rate B team Englishman, injury prone, numbers are inconsistent.. He comes across as extremely smug for my liking. Not a humble guy. But most importantly not a great player.

Will be interesting to see what happens to Pape Sarr.. Has anyone seen much of his play? Will he stay or go out on loan? Also Skipp. These are young guys who need minutes under their belt.

Looks like Nikola Milenkovic is a new CB name.

Would give Dier a nice place on the bench or atleast keep.him on his toes early on.

Good to hear we are after a CB & AM.

We definitely need both, then hopefully add Maddison in Jan or next summer.
