Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano feels Tottenham are still exploring opportunities as the transfer deadline rapidly approaches.
The North London club have done some exceptional transfer business so far. Apart from extending the loan spell of Timo Werner, they have added Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, Wilson Odobert and Lucas Bergvall to their squad. While these signings will surely help them fight for a top-four finish, Tottenham are still in the market for opportunities as well get close to the deadline day.
Fabrizio Romano believes Spurs are not yet done and they could make further signings before the deadline if an opportunity presents itself.
While speaking on GIVEMESPORT, the Italian transfer expert said: “The deal they did with Burnley [for Odobert] was completely silent. So, I think they’re still working on something, and I’m told they’re still working on something, but there is still nothing concrete or close to being completed. But I can confirm Tottenham are still in the market for opportunities.”
Romano feels Spurs are still in the market for new signings despite having added some top players to their ranks in the ongoing transfer window. They are quietly working on potential deals just like they did when they signed Odobert from Burnley. While no deals are close to completion and nothing concrete has emerged yet, the encouraging news for Spurs fans is that their team remains active in the market for opportunities.
Destiny Udogie is expected to be their first-choice left-back under Ange Postecoglou but they are in the market for another full-back with Ben Davies on the decline. The North London club are also interested in bringing in another centre-back and have been linked with Barcelona’s Andreas Christensen who could be on the move for free because of the Catalan club’s financial situation.
