Hugo Lloris Named In Spurs Squad To Face Arsenal

There has been some doubt over the availability of Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris in the past few days, something that I believe might have less to do with the physio rooms at Hotspur Way and more about it of the parlour games that go on in José Mourinho’s head, before important games. And this morning, the Spurs squad was released to the Evening Standard (amongst many)…

Lloris, Hart; Gazzaniga, Whiteman, Doherty, Aurier, Rodon, Alderweireld, Cirkin, Davies, Reguilon, Dier, Tanganga, Sanchez, Winks, Sissoko, Hojbjerg, Dele, Clarke, Lo Celso, White, Ndombele, Bale, Lucas, Son, Lamela, Bergwijn, Scarlett, Vinicius, and Kane.

To add to this curious situation, that squad list also came with a sub group of players that were deemed in doubt or unavailable entirely… Doubts: Alderweireld (groin), Kane, Reguilon, Vinicius (unspecified) Injured: Lamela (achilles)

Of course, this may merely mean that Lloris is on the bench and that Joe Hart starts. This release also confirms that whatever non-specific business was ailing Harry Kane during the LASK game has also vanished.

Funny old game, Saint.
