How Tottenham could line up under Ange Postecoglou after the transfer window

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new manager and Australian will be hoping to turn things around at the north London club.

According to Mirror, the Australian is looking to bring in multiple new signings this summer and he has identified David Raya, James Maddison and Max Kilman as potential options.

It is no secret that Tottenham must replace Hugo Lloris as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.

The 36-year-old has been a shadow of his former self and Tottenham cannot keep starting him even after his error-prone performances this season. The French international has cost his side valuable points. Raya has proven himself at Brentford and he could be a superb replacement.

Meanwhile, they need to bring in a reliable partner for Cristian Romero as well. The likes of Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez have been quite mediocre defensively and Spurs are reportedly looking at the Wolves defender Max Kilman.

Kilman has done well at the Molineux club and the opportunity to join Tottenham will be a major step up for him. He will likely be tempted if Tottenham comes calling with a concrete offer.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can agree on a fee with Wolves for the 26-year-old. The defender has three years left on his current contract and he is unlikely to be a cheap acquisition.

Finally, Tottenham need to add creativity and goals to their side and they have identified James Maddison as a target.

The 26-year-old Leicester City star is likely to leave the club this summer following the relegation and he will want to return to the top flight. A move to Tottenham could be the ideal next step for him.

He scored 10 goals and picked up nine assists in the league this season and he could transform Tottenham in the final third.

Here is how Tottenham could line up next season.
