How Much Profit Are ENIC Making? The Football Finance Show [video]

By The Boy -

How much profit did Tottenham Make in recent seasons? How much did they make from gate receipts? How much are Tottenham making from commercial income? How much debt are Spurs carrying?

All things in a football club are interconnected and here YouTuber Chris Chillingworth talks us through the most readily available data, and for me, this is easier on the eye than staring at a written summary.

For a club run with such ruthless efficiency, why does the team continually struggle to achieve anything meaningful on the pitch?

Conclusion: The much touted figure of £1billion would NOT buy Tottenham Hotspur Football Club!

A healthy bottom line is essential if you’re thinking of selling.

It is no surprise that we top the net profit figures, That we top the matchday revenues. That we have more playing staff but a lower expense base. What does this tell us? What we already know. ENIC charge the highest prices but pay the lowest wages(apart from Levy of course and maybe the manager – Pooch and now Jose). It shows that we invest very little in net terms towards the football playing squad. It tells us that ENIC are not reinvesting profits back into the football business to win anything. Football success apart from CL qualification to secure the CL revenues is of no interest. ENIC operate with the mantra of keeping the supporters believing and paying whilst never actually looking to achieve success on the football pitch. I do not believe that they will ever invest to create football success. They will look to increase stadium revenues through events and NFL/Rugby matches and that will be their focus for growth. The more revenue that flows in from non football related business activities the less important it becomes to change the current philosophy. This is a road to nowhere for THFC and a road paved with gold for ENIC.

they didn’t have the last season earnings, only 2018. We overtook chelsea in revenue! I think it’s great we’re in such good financial shape – but only if the profits are put back into the club. What’s the point of making an investment company rich without any success on the pitch?! Only idiots could celebrate it. That said, if the money IS put back into the club and we do start to compete in the transfer market and wages, then we can all enjoy the financial success.

Something odd about the staff and player numbers, we have more than Liverpool and Chelsea, really?
