Hopes dashed? Fabrizio says Spurs target has agreed personal terms with Chelsea

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur has added Clément Lenglet to improve their backline heading into this coming season. However, some reports would suggest that the north London club might still add another left-footed center-back, with them linked to Manchester City’s Nathan Ake.

Recent information would suggest Spurs are one of the clubs in on the Netherlands international. Nonetheless, if the 27-year-old is a target for Tottenham this summer, they might have to act fast, considering another Premier League rival is fast-tracking a possible deal.

Fabrizio Romano reports Chelsea has a complete agreement with Aké on personal terms. The Italian journalist adds that Manchester City are aware of the situation on the player side but still waiting to receive the official proposal from The Blues.

Romano continues by saying Manchester City wants between £40 million and £45 million for the Dutchman, who Chelsea sold to Bournemouth for £20 million. Aké is under contract until 2025, so Pep Guardiola’s side isn’t under pressure to sell if no club meets their asking price this summer.

Are you on Drugs, Sterling is overrated & selfish!!

120 goals in 6 seasons & 40+ assists.
Maybe you have a problem with the skin he was born in.

Nah! Is Tuchel a better coach than Guardiola? Ake is 4th choice CB at City for a reason, which is why they are letting him go. A decent player, but he is hardly in Rudiger’s class is he? Frankly I am delighted he is going to Chelsea and Sterling also.

Chelsea are already compounding the humongous error on Lukaku. The new ownership, with no footballing acumen and large egos, will hopefully make exactly the same mistake as Utd, by buying big name mercenaries, on huge contracts, like Sterling, who then underperform!

My definition of average Eddie, is average by top 4 standards. He would be great at Leeds or Everton, but he is being signed to replace Rudiger, who in spite of being a cnut, is a world class defender. Ake might be the opposite of Rudiger as a person, like Harry Winks, a genuinely decent guy, but IMHO he is not a top 4 starter, let alone world class.

I agree that Mings is a better defender than Ake.

They better go for Ming of Aston Villa instead of Ake if they need real defender.

I agree that we were probably not interested in him. However I also think he is more that average.Given a proper run of games I would see him as a very successful PL CB.

I thought the run of games he had at City towards the end of the season showed there is a good player there. When he went there he would have known he would be behind Diaz and Laporte, but you couldn’t blame him for joining and winning silverwareAnd he could have done a job for us at LCB.

Agree absolutely I would hate Sterling at Spurs,so over-rated and selfish. He’s a posterboy for the woke brigade.

The reason clubs pay millions for coaches. Ake may not be a regular starter for city but he could still come to Chelsea to be the best defender in epl that’s football for you. Remember Salah and de bruyne where once Chelsea bench warmers now look at them. Look at Tammy Abraham, Marc guehi, fikayo timori

Ake is distinctly average and there is a reason why he was 4th choice CB at City. I am astonished that Chelsea are trying to buy him back, let alone pay £45 mill for him. Why would you buy a direct rival’s 4th choice CB? It makes no sense.

I would also question spending £55 mill on a mercenary like Sterling, for the same reason. He’s no longer first choice at City, so why would Chelsea pay that much for him? As for us, I am sure we have no interest in Ake at all as a player.

That’s what comes with being London’s biggest club.

Anyone who says different only needs to ask woolwich, the blue racists, or wet spam knuckle-draggers which team they want to beat the most.

Much as I want Bremer it will be Pau Torres’s or no one because of Lo Celso.

Ultimately the kid just wants to play but hes in a tight spot…he isnt an elite centre back & so how many teams can afford the transfer fee of circa 40mill.. if he was 20-25 mill then maybe teams like Leceister would be interested.. If Chelsea sign him then it will be in essence a 1 season signing…In fairness I’m not sure theres anyone out there as good as Rudiger under 60-70 mill….

You think to yourself, why would he go back.
If they didn’t fancy you 1st time, why would now be any different.

Just like with Lukaku, or Lingard thinking he was gonna play after his W.Ham stint, Ake is wasting his time.
They will find better in the next window & he’ll be left behind.

He’s in a tough situation, but ppl always go for the brightest opportunity, sometimes not the best.

Like us, Chelsea can’t get their first few choices so they are settling with Ake, for now.

Hope we have a another CB coming Torres, Bremer obviously doesn’t fancy leaving Italy, he would’ve been my 1st choice.
