Tottenham Hotspur completed a deal to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa earlier this month.
The Romanian international defender has been outstanding for the Italian club and he will look to make his mark in the Premier League now.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has now heaped praise on the talented young defender stating that he is an aggressive player with speed and a remarkable personality.
Romano believes that the 21-year-old would be the ideal fit for the Premier League and he is similar to Cristian Romero in terms of potential.
“Dragusin is a very aggressive centre-back, also a fast player and his personality is remarkable – perfect for the Premier League,” he said in his exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside.
“He was on the list of Italian clubs also, not just Spurs and Bayern.
“I think he’s similar to Cuti Romero in terms of the kind of signing, not as a centre-back but with that kind of potential.”
Tottenham needed to tighten up defensively this month and the arrival of Dragusin could help them improve defensively. The 21-year-old will look to make an immediate impact and help his side secure Champions League qualification.
The north London club managed to beat the likes of Bayern Munich to secure his signature and they are paying an initial €25 million for the defender with another €5 million in add-ons.
Romano’s description of the player will certainly come as a boost for Tottenham. The Tottenham fans will be excited to watch their new signing in action and it remains to be seen whether he is given an opportunity to showcase his qualities against Manchester United on Sunday.
Dragusin has the physicality and defensive understanding to do well in the Premier League and he will be raring to impress with his new club this season.
