Heung Son-Min Will Return To Spurs… A Marine

With Premier League football on obviously hold for the foreseeable future, this is a clever move by Heung Son-Min who has form for taking a proactive approach to his responsibilities at Tottenham Hotspur.

In 2019, Sonny was publicly thanked by Mauricio Pochettino for making himself “so available” for training. (This was when Son was the first player in the English top-flight to pick up three red cards in a calendar year since Lee Cattermole last achieve the feat back in 2010)

This time around, Sonny has seized upon the footballing downtime to get his military training service out the way.

The YonHap News Agency understands Son will report to a Marine Corps camp on the southern island of Jeju on April 20th, where the 27-year-old will undergo his three-week training.

One the boy’s completed his Marine training, he has 544 hours of community service to look forward to!

Needless to say, our South Korean goal machine will return to England in the shape of his life.
