“He needs to be lasting 90 minutes in a game.” More is expected from Tottenham man

Stephen Warnock says that Tanguy Ndombele has to start playing the full 90 minutes for Tottenham.

The Frenchman has been one of the most improved players at Tottenham this season after a very poor first season at the club.

He opened the scoring for the Lilywhites against Wolves yesterday and he was one of their best players on the night.

He did his job in midfield very well and he was easily one of the best players on the pitch from both teams.

However, as is almost customary now, Jose Mourinho removed him from the game on the 70th minute and Spurs would go on to miss his presence and concede the equaliser late on.

Warnock praised the former Lyon man for his impressive performance on the night and said that he needs to get fitter so that he can play more game minutes for the club.

“He was really impressive today,” said Warnock via Football London

“He started the game extremely well, picking up a good position on the edge of the box. It is poor defending from Wolves but he gets a good connection on the ball.

“He grew into the game and it was all about his strength, getting his body in between players and driving forward. He is closing players down and then having the ability to get away from people and pick a pass.

“He left the field on around 70 minutes and Jose Mourinho will want him to get fitter. He needs to be lasting 90 minutes in a game.”
