“He is so passionate” – Son Heung-min discusses the emotion that manager Antonio Conte brings

Last week, Tottenham Hotspur endured what many consider the most embarrassing loss in club history when they fell 2-1 to NŠ Mura. Antonio Conte’s squad has had the sit on that defeat for a couple of days, so they were eager to get onto the pitch against Brentford.

The north London-based club had some help to start the match as The Bees conceded an own-goal 12 minutes into the game. Son Heung-min would secure the second goal at the 65th-minute mark, and it was all Tottenham needed for the three points.

Tottenham has a two-game winning streak in Premier League competition following their 2-0 victory over Brentford. After the match, Son spoke to the media at his press conference, where the 29-year-old stated that Conte’s enthusiasm provided that boost the squad needed to pick up the win.

“Everyone knows where to be; everyone should be where he asked for, and every player should know what to do. The detail really helps and gives us a boost. We have a lot to improve, but there is a long season to go,” Son said with the Daily Mail relaid his remarks. “He [Conte] is so passionate, I love it. I want to play with passion on the pitch and off the pitch.”

“It is really important even on the pitch he is so passionate, it is really helpful. With our new gaffer, we have had three games, and there is lots to improve. I don’t want to talk about the future, saying is always easy, but we have to prove on the pitch. Now we have to prepare for Sunday, and if we take three points, it can be an unbelievable week.”

Spurs will aim to make it a three-game winning streak when they welcome 19th place Norwich City to Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
