Harry Kane is playing his hand very modestly indeed, and anyone who is seeking to convince themselves that the England captain is staying at Tottenham Hotspur next season is – in my view – believing what they wish to believe, as opposed to watching and taking into account the specific words and the body language.
This was a masterclass in non-committal politeness, and surely a stark warning to those that believe Kane to be a nitwit is way off beam.
