Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel has been linked with a move away from the club in January but the player is keen on staying at the German club despite limited game time.
A report from Daily Express claims that Tottenham are known admirers of the 18-year-old French attacker. Apparently, they tried to include him during negotiations for the transfer of Harry Kane. However, it seems that their desire to sign the 18-year-old could be scuppered by their former star.
According to Florian Plettenberg, the 18-year-old attacker wants to stay at Bayern Munich as an understudy to Harry Kane and learn from the England international.

He does not want to leave the German club in January and Bayern Munich are not keen on letting him leave either. Despite limited game time, he has 6 goals and 3 assists to his name across all competitions. He is versatile enough to operate as a winger as well as a centre-forward.
There is no doubt that Spurs could use someone like him, especially with the way players like Richarlison have performed this season.
Son Heung-min is the only reliable attacker at the club right now and Tottenham need to add more depth in that position.
The Frenchman would have been a quality long-term investment for them but his desire to stay at the German club and learn from Kane will jeopardise Tottenham’s chances of landing him anytime soon.
It remains to be seen whether Spurs manage to sign a quality attacker when the window reopens in January.
