Harry Kane relishes “massive” Spurs win after scoring goals 200 and 201

By Bruce Grove -

Spurs earned a fine 3-1 win over Newcastle as they look to end this season in a European place, and Harry Kane rightfully calls the victory a massive one.

Spurs had struggled at the start of the game with Newcastle United bossing possession and being more threatening on the attack.

However, Spurs took the lead against the run of play and it went their way from that time on.

Kane played an important part in the win, having played a key role in Spurs’ opener and netting the other two.

The England captain spoke after the match and relished how massive the win is for them as a team.

“A massive win which gives us momentum going into the last two games, he said as quoted by the BBC.

“We hit back quick after they scored, we dug deep and we got some breathing space late on.

On scoring 201 goals in 350 appearances Kane was clearly a happy man.

“It’s a great achievement for me to get but hopefully there are more to come. On to the next one.”

Spurs will now look to continue their fine run of form in their remaining games, and if they can win those, then they can be confident of finishing this season in a European spot ahead of next season.
