Harry Kane makes it clear how many games Tottenham have to win once football resumes

Harry Kane has set a target for himself and his teammates when football returns if they are to qualify for the Champions League next season.

The Lilywhites are a bit off the pace in the race for the Champions League places. Part of the reason that they have struggled this year was that they lost the England captain to injury earlier in the season.

The striker is now fit and not just him, but the other Spurs players who would have missed much of this campaign through injury, including Son Heung-min, if the season had been completed as normal.

A fit and firing Kane has now revealed the number of games that they need to win to finish this season in the top four.

The striker claims that their goal is to finish the season in a Champions League place and for that to happen, they would have to win around seven or eight of their remaining games.

“We have got to finish in the top four, there is no doubt about that,” he said as quoted by Sky Sports.

“We have got a massive game against Man United in the first game and realistically we are going to have to win seven or eight to get into the Champions League.

“That has got to be our aim. Of course we want to win every game but we have got to make sure we finish strong if we want to be playing Champions League football next season.”
