Harry Kane explains what Tottenham must do to surpass Arsenal and finish in the top four

This past weekend, Tottenham Hotspur surrendered their fourth-place spot to their north London rival Arsenal, whose recent form saw them take six points in two games; meanwhile, Spurs only accumulated one point in their last two fixtures.

Spurs are two points behind The Gunners, and despite there being some urgency from the outside, considering they fumbled their lead, the players on the squad remain calm but know they cannot be dropping any more points.

In an interview with the Evening Standard, Harry Kane discussed what the squad needs to do if they want to ensure a top-four finish and play in UEFA Champions League football next season.

“To only get one point from those two games [Brighton and Brentford] is disappointing. We’re running out of games in terms of dropping points,” Kane said.

“There are five games left, and we feel like we are pretty much going to have to win all of them to get that spot. We are more than capable of doing that, we believe in that, and that is what we’ll try and do.”

Arsenal will face off in a London Derby when they take on West Ham United next weekend as they eye to maintain their hold on fourth place. As for Tottenham, they’ll welcome Leicester City, and it’s a fixture they need to win, considering they’ll be heading to Anfield the following week.
