Midfielder closing in on a move to Manchester City after turning down offer from Tottenham; medical completed

Tottenham have recently bid farewell to one of their most promising academy talents, Han Willhoft-King, following the conclusion of his contract.

The young midfielder is now set to join the Premier League champions Manchester City.

As reported by Football Insider, an agreement has been reached between the parties, and Willhoft-King has successfully completed his medical.

Willhoft-King, who has been with Tottenham since the tender age of six, has consistently impressed within the club’s youth ranks.

His journey through the Spurs academy was marked by outstanding performances in both the U18 Premier League and the FA Youth Cup, where he made 41 appearances and scored four goals.

The teenager’s exceptional talent earned him recognition as one of the best players in his age group, with The Guardian naming him the top player in September 2022.

Despite Tottenham’s best efforts to retain Willhoft-King, including the offer of a new contract, the midfielder opted to pursue new opportunities.

Willhoft-King’s departure comes amid a series of contract expirations and player releases at Spurs, signifying a notable transition within the club’s youth development program.

The 18-year-old’s impending move to Man City represents a significant milestone in his emerging career, as he is set to join the reigning champions on a two-year contract.
