Gold confirms Tottenham talent with 23 goals was seen in training ahead of the Europa League match against Qarabag

Tottenham are gearing up for their Europa League opener against Qarabag FK, carrying momentum from their impressive 3-1 win over Brentford in the Premier League last weekend.

The victory has put the Spurs in a positive mindset as they shift focus to European competition, and there’s an added buzz about a couple of the club’s exciting young prospects training with the first team.

Journalist Alasdair Gold reported that two standout players from the academy, Will Lankshear and Mikey Moore, were seen training alongside the senior squad at Hotspur Way.

Their absence from the U21s’ fixture against Exeter City on Tuesday night has sparked speculation that both could feature in the squad for the Europa League match.

Gold shared the update on X:

“Looks to be everyone involved in Spurs training that you’d expect. No Richarlison or Odobert. The suspended Romero and unavailable Spence and Reguilon all involved. Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear involved of the academy products. U21s played last night.”

Lankshear, who has recently recovered from a hamstring injury, is expected to play a role in the upcoming game.

The 19-year-old striker had a phenomenal Premier League 2 campaign last season, netting 23 goals in 23 appearances, which has solidified his reputation as one of the brightest young talents at the club.

Mikey Moore, a 17-year-old winger with excellent technical ability, has also been training with the senior squad and is believed to be in contention for a potential start in the European competition.

It has been reported that both these players will be playing a big role in the first-team set up for Ange this season given the amount of fixtures the clubs have. Both Moore and Lankshear will hope to make most of these opportunities in what could be a break through season for them.
