Goal-machine who could replace Harry Kane now irritated by Tottenham

By Mehdi Gokal -

According to Correio da Manha (via Sports View), Porto striker Mehdi Taremi has been left frustrated at the lack of offers for him this summer.

The report claims that the Iranian international is ‘irritated’ that ‘Tottenham and other clubs’ have not put in an formal bid for him yet despite the said interest.

With Harry Kane officially gone to Bayern Munich now, Tottenham are in the market for a new centre-forward and have been linked with several candidates.

Gianluca Di Marzio claimed last week that Spurs are in contact with with Porto through agent Jorge Mendes to negotiate a potential transfer for him.

Di Marzio added that Spurs are ready to offer €24m for the striker while Porto asked for €30m.

Taremi’s impressive performances last season, with 22 goals and 7 assists in 33 league appearances, have caught the attention of many top clubs including Spurs.

Inter Milan are another club interested in signing him but it is reported that the Italian club are concerned about the hefty price-tag of the 31-year-old as well as the fact that he will be unavailable to play in January and February as he will be away with the national team at the AFC Asian Cup.
