Giovani Lo Celso takes to Instagram to respond to being dropped vs Chelsea [image]

By The Boy -

Nothing shy of curious, this one. Giovani Lo Celso has taken the unusual step of taking to social media this afternoon in response to his omission from today’s squad for the London derby against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Argentinian has drawn some negative comments of late from some fans after not featuring for Spurs too often, yet being available for his country.

That said, this move comes from the other side of the debate and will only make supporters wonder what is occurring inside Hotspur Way…

I like Gio and think he works hard on the pitch but Conte obviously feels he doesn’t contribute to the collective as Poch would say. So it seems he’s in the sell/loan bin with Dele, Tanguy and Rodon. I’m ok with that.

Doesn’t fit Conte’s system and not fit often enough. I can see alone out for him this month or something, in fact there will probably be several loans around the place with most permanent things being tied up in the summer.

No Dele, Tangy or Gio in the match-day squad with one week left of the window. All three will be on a decent wedge so with Baldy clearly insisting that the wage bill remains tens of millions below teams even in mid table, he will want them out before allowing inward bound Conte type players.

Paratici really needs to earn his corn this month. Royal and Gollini both almost comically bad signings, Romero is a lightweight and gets crocked all the time and Gil looks ready for a loan back to Spain. Conte has had to come in to guide our ‘transfer Don’ it seems!

I think that showed in the team selection today as all 3 were missing on the team sheet. Baldy needs to back Conte and get in some decent players in their place. I think in today’s game, Chelsea showed that as a team we are unfortunately still way behind them when it comes to players that have that little bit extra.

I like that Bergwijn has some fight in him, because often we do look soft.

Reminds me of the Bobby Soldier saga.
Knew he had it/Forever willing him to do it/In the end you have to accept it ain’t going to happen.
Just not a good fit.

I’m fit and ready to play given the call. I’ve probably got more chance than Lo Celso. He simply isn’t a good PL player. I’m sure his fitness and eagerness will serve him well at a new club.

Would take a huge turn around in his contributions to the team to win back trust.

This message does not help. When you compare him to his compatriots Ardiles and Villa what a difference.

Used to defend him on here, because I genuinely believed he had a lot to offer, but why bother? He clearly doesn’t.

Agree…He came on the other night I think for Reguilon, but REguilon might as well have stayed on ad No Show contributed minus nothing for the time he was on the field.

100% physical condition and can’t get into the matchday squad ahead of White? Either Antonio is sending a message, or Mr No Show will be out of the door along with (hopefully) Tanguy and Dele.

I’ve had just about enough of all of them.
