‘Get Ready’ – Fabrizio Romano states Antonio Conte’s remarks about his future are typical

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte caused some to ponder whether the 52-year-old was ready to leave his post despite having a contract until 2023. However, he did pour some water on those rumors, saying he’s committed to the project.

However, if Spurs supporters needed more reassurance, transfer window and Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano (via This Is Futbol) provided some comfort. Romano stated fans should not be too nervous about the Italian’s position at the club since Conte’s remarks are a regular thing after a loss.

“We’re talking about a man who wins everywhere he goes, but he has this kind of reaction when the team is not what he wants and when the results are not what he wants,” Romano said.

“Antonio Conte, when he’s losing a game, he goes mad. He can’t accept to lose one single game. So this is Antonio Conte’s mentality, and get ready because this will always be Antonio Conte.”

Conte wants Tottenham to invest a significant amount to build a squad capable of competing against Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City. The Spurs boss wants to bring silverware to north London, but he understands that financial commitments are needed.

It seems the Italian manager will get that from chairman Daniel Levy which is why he shot down any rumors about his possible departure from Tottenham, who are seeing their top-four hopes slip away.
