‘Get Him …’ – Former player says Liverpool has one factor to land Spurs target

Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for a forward to strengthen their attack for next season and one of the names linked to the north London club over the last few weeks is Leeds United’s Raphinha.

Raphinha is seeing various clubs in the Premier League interested in him, but one team not in the mix but should be, according to Stan Collymore, is Liverpool. The Reds’ former star says that the Brazilian should snub the interested clubs for Liverpool for one reason, to be managed by Jurgen Klopp.

Furthermore, Collymore adds that bringing in the 25-year-old would be a perfect replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is in a contract talks with the Premier League club as he has one year left on his deal.

“My message to Liverpool is, ‘Go on, get in there and get him, and future proof for the prospect of Salah leaving in a year. If Jurgen Klopp can show the boy how to play with more tactical discipline, the Reds will have one hell of a potential threat down the left or right with a promise of goals if he stays high up the pitch rather than drifting,” Collymore said told The Mirror

“I look at Chelsea and think they are all right for that kind of player; they have good players left and right. People will say that if you can hone his talent and skills, he can give you the same ‘Wow!’ factor, or at least a similar one, to Eden Hazard, even though they’re different players.”

Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, and Barcelona are clubs reportedly in the mix for the Brazilian this summer. This past season, Raphinha appeared in 36 fixtures, where they scored 11 goals and recorded three assists for Leeds United.
