Gareth Bale plans a generous Christmas for families in Wales

Gareth Bale has agreed to donate £15,000 to buy 300 Christmas hampers for some poor families in Wales this year.

The Real Madrid Loanee is one of the biggest stars from Wales and he had been approached to offer a signed shirt initially, according to Sun Sport.

Bale instead decided to offer both the signed shirt and some money to help the families enjoy Christmas.

South Wales Evening Post’s ‘Everyone Deserves a Christmas campaign is the campaign that his donations will go to and the report claims that the money will be able to buy 300 of the £50 hampers for those families.

His agent, Jonathan Barnett, was approached by the organisation to ask for the attacker’s support and he revealed that he was more than happy to give the letter to Bale.

Mr Barnett said: “When I was approached by Carolyn I was happy to pass on her letter to Gareth and as soon as he saw it this week he immediately agreed to donate a shirt and some funds and do whatever is needed to help such a good cause.”

Bale is one of the highest-paid players in the world and he has decided to use some of his wealth for a social cause which is highly commendable.
