‘From what I understand’ – Gold says Ange is keen on player neglected by Conte

Yves Bissouma is set to have a significant season under the management of new Tottenham Hotspur coach Ange Postecoglou.

Early impressions have left the Australian manager extremely impressed with the midfielder, as reported by Alasdair Gold, who stated that Postecoglou “loves him.”

Bissouma’s debut season with Spurs, following his £25 million move from Brighton, was marred by injuries and difficulties adapting to former manager Antonio Conte’s tactics.

However, with Postecoglou now in charge, the midfielder is expected to get a fresh start and an opportunity to showcase his abilities.

According to the latest by Gold, Postecoglou sees Bissouma as a leader and has repeatedly expressed to him that he will play a crucial role in the team this season.

The manager is encouraging the young players to follow Bissouma’s example and views him as an important figure on and off the pitch.

Speaking on his YouTube channel regarding Yves Bissouma, he said (50:50-51:30):

“From what I understand Postecoglou has been repeatedly telling him that he’s going to be such an important player for him this season and telling him that he wants him to become a bit of a leader now and encouraging the young players as well and to lead by example with them.”

Already, the impact of Postecoglou’s guidance on Bissouma has been evident. In the friendly against West Ham, the midfielder displayed immense confidence and played a standout role.

As the new season approaches, Bissouma will be eager to prove himself under the guidance of a manager whose system suits his playing style better than Conte’s.

The upcoming campaign offers the perfect opportunity for Bissouma to fulfill his potential and become a key player for Tottenham Hotspur under Postecoglou’s leadership.
