Tottenham summer signing Alejo Veliz has become the latest player to be sidelined with a long-term injury.
Spurs have been suffering from a major injury problem this season, with a number of players unavailable due to injuries.
Since the start of the season, they have lost the likes of James Maddison, Micky van de Ven, Manor Solomon, Ivan Perisic, Cristian Romero, and now Alejo Veliz through serious injuries.
The young striker picked up an injury during the match against Bournemouth, and despite him trying his best to continue to play in pain, he could not for long and was ultimately forced off.
Dan Kilpatrick, the Evening Standard’s Spurs correspondent, later revealed that the player left the club on crutches with a leg brace on.
The player has suffered an injury to the external ligament on his right knee and as per TyC Sports, he is set to be sidelined for six weeks.

The injury comes as a big blow for Ange who must have been hoping for his availability, specially in the absence of Heung-min Son who is expected to miss a month’s action due to his participation in the Asian Cup games.
