Former Tottenham man now on verge of joining Premier League rivals

Leicester City are in advanced talks to appoint the former Tottenham Hotspur scout Peter Braund.

The 56-year-old recently left Tottenham in May and he is expected to join the Foxes in the coming weeks.

Braund was Tottenham’s key scout for the German market and he helped the London club identify the top talents from Germany, during his time at the club.

Prior to his time at Tottenham, Braund worked at Manchester United and he’s highly regarded in European football.

According to a report from Football Insider, Leicester City are reportedly keen to tap into the pool of young talent in Germany and they are hoping Peter Braund can help them identify the top talents of the next generation from German football.

The former Tottenham man is expected to be the senior German scout for Leicester City, and he will take up a role that will be based in Germany.

Leicester have signed a number of important players from German football in recent years, including the likes of Caglar Soyuncu, Shinji Okazaki and Christian Fuchs.

Braund has clearly proven himself at the top Premier League clubs like Tottenham and Manchester United. He will be hoping to make his mark at Leicester as well.

The Foxes are in need of quality reinforcements in the upcoming windows, and signing a few talented young players will certainly boost their squad massively.

Leicester have brought in a number of impressive talents like N’Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez over the last few years, and they will hope to unearth more elite talents from German football in the coming years.
