Former Spurs Icon Agrees ‘I’m A Celebrity…  Get Me Out of Here!’ Deal

By The Boy -

This will either end badly, very badly or so badly that it will hurt all of us who loved Paul Gascoigne as a Tottenham player. The former Spurs, Lazio, Rangers, and England ace has apparently agreed to participate in the Italian version of I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here!.

Isola de Famosi as the show is known in Italy is said to have ensured Gazza passed extensive mental and physical tests in order to be accepted for the two-month-long TV show, according to The Sun.

One has to question the wisdom of this, given Paul’s extremely chequered past involving all manner of drink and drug misuse. The former footy star’s public most recent incidents have produced far more questions than answers; one random example would be the 52-year-old shacking up with some ageing dolly bird Gazza met on a holiday that the Daily Mail highlighted last year.

I pretty sure everyone wishes Paul well, but this appears to be another bad decision.

I had two options. Roll with it or revolt. I chose the former. I find moaning pointless. Some find it soothing.

The NHS can’t cope. No lock down woulda killed the NHS. along with more people dying. They had no other option.

I’m loving it Tappa, she’s needing a feed as we speak – she’s a well tempered one most of the time though. Got the right constitution for a lifelong Spurs supporter I’m thinking.

A long way to walking but she’s already rolling on her side sometimes, ahead of schedule there.

How is baby man? They Don’t do much for the first ten months. My latest granddaughter is 11 months. She’s walking now and causing havoc 😂 this is where the fun begins. RIP grandad.

The government wouldn’t survive rolling out such a huge vaccination programme only to see it fail to the level another lockdown of this type was required – it won’t happen

It has to be. We can’t as a nation allow it to happen again.

Cheers, call me a ridiculous optimist but I think this will be the last lockdown of this kind for the UK

It’s not selfish at all. God bless you and your family, yes we will prevail, The ‘new normal’ is not something to be embraced.

If in 5-10 years we’re in a totalitarian state that in no way resembles the pre-covid world I will come back and admit to the naivety of my thinking – but I’m not buying that one. I don’t believe humanity is capable of something as joined up as a worldwide pandemic and subsequent response.

I do think the government toyed with something similar to that – a herd immunity strategy. Then it was factored in that natural immunity would be pretty limited and your working population would keep on getting sick again and again that it was abandoned. Even if only 1 in 300 of the working population died from Covid that would still be a bit of a morale buster for the British public, especially if you’re sat at home two weeks with flu symptoms wondering just great shape your immune system is in.

Plus as you say, they’d already failed to protect the vulnerable early on so that option had already gone to some extent due to incompetence.

Thanks, it’s been a strange year – just tried to remain positive and focus on getting ready to be a dad, we found out a bit late deep into the first lockdown. We’d been trying a while so I know some people think it’s selfish to have a child right now but it wasn’t really like that.

I’ll agree I don’t think this virus is the end of everything, I don’t even believe there’ll be much of a ‘new normal’ after this – people will go back to 99% the same lifestyle within 5 or 6 years (look at people booking flights for holidays today).

The media frustrate me a great deal – I think this country has largely struck the right balance between personal liberties and trying to limit the impact of Covid but the media has flip flopped between unhelpful extreme opinions for their own motives.

Thanks, he’s the reason I support Spurs – he took me to my first few games.

He was really popular all his life, but only a six person funeral in the end – a work colleague wrote an incredible eulogy for him, but still, not how it should have been.

As in now. Flu cases are covid cases now. Not cos the measures have kept flu down.
Yes I hate the measures but I don’t think the vax is the answer cos I don’t believe its about a virus. Operation lockstep.

In 2006 I had a brutal chest infection awful cough and flu, lasted over a month’

It probably reduced your lifespan according to current research – that which doesn’t kill you…still kicks you. Condemning this population to possibly getting something more severe than the flu two or three times over 2 or more years with low intervention and no vaccine would still be a health crisis even discounting the deaths. That’s whether or not you believe in ‘long covid – hardly want to mention this as I’m sure you don’t.

‘Flu and influenza is next to gone now.’

You mean this past year or in general? Because flu is very much still around in general. These measures making it a really mild flu season has been an obvious benefit :/

I have declined it’

You see, you hate all this but won’t be part of the obvious solution to the problem – that makes me a little less sympathetic. If we all refused this would go on for as long as the Spanish flu, possibly longer with populations higher and worlsd travel being what it is these days – new strains would keep on coming

That’s awful. Congrats on your new addition though. All I can say is don’t let the media cast it’s spell.
We aren’t in danger and we should live.

Yes. Plenty of nurses, funeral home workers etc. I’ve had all manner of info. Some I wish I could say. Covid as cause of death is on certificates when people died of other things. PCR minipulation. That’s fairly standard and they get money to put covid on cause of deaths. We all get sick. In 2006 I had a brutal chest infection awful cough and flu, lasted over a month, I remember cos it was the world cup, in the end had to register with doctor to get antibiotics to get rid of it. If that was now I’d have got a test and would be told I had covid. Flu and influenza is next to gone now. The vax is rolled out at the end of flu season…..
I have declined it.

I’ve just become a parent so these measures have robbed a lot from me, it’s not a great thing not being able to mix when you want to introduce your baby to your loved ones. My wife won’t be able to get a vaccine until she stops breast feeding too, which means no passport out of the country so no holidays for another year or so. Can’t even register the baby with the council due to their backlog etc.

The measures in care homes stopped me from visiting or saying goodbye to my grandad in person before he passed (I visited him every week near enough before Covid).

I still maintain – the measures are justified, and the summer was very close to business as usual for the vast majority of people.

think we’re reached the stage as a civilisation we can’t just ‘take a 2.7% hit’ on the chin – but that’s just an opinion

there are countries who followed the low intervention strategy…not sure you’d want to move to them though !

As long as you’re not a denier who won’t get the jab either then that’s ok (otherwise I’d say you are close to a conspiracy theorist and not beiong very helpful to yourself or others) – I get where you’re coming from but think you’re viewing it all from a limited perspective.

Do you know anyone working with Covid patients? Have you had a relative confirmed to have died from it? Did any of your work colleagues fall badly sick at the start of the pandemic?

For me all those questions are answered with a ‘yes’ so that’s my standing cheers.

A few more months? Hahaha. And the rest. It’s not about me it’s about the millions who have lost everything, the elderly who are being psychologically tortured and isolated, the economy of this country which is being destroyed. The suicides, the domestic abuse the lack of cancer diagnosis and treatment among other diseases neglected. Etc etc.
Anyone who thinks this is about public safety is absolutely beyond help.

Must be a fair wedge in it for him. Not the kind of thing that’s going to help his progress in life.

Note* by the way, Open your businesses, visit your loved ones, go out and live. Stop consenting to these criminal measures. The no dates but data roadmap to nowhere is surely shaking people awake now??
DO NOT CONSENT. This was never about a virus.
