Football Insider claims Julian Nagelsmann may only take the Spurs job if one condition is met

According to Football Insider, Julian Nagelsmann may only take the Tottenham job if they finish top four this season.

He was surprisingly sacked by Bayern Munich on Friday which has now made him an attractive option for several Premier League clubs including Newcastle, Chelsea, and Tottenham. The 35-year-old according to the report, wants to manage a club that will be competing in the Champions League next season and has made that a condition to take the Spurs job.

His record with Bayern Munich is exceptional. In his 84 match in charge of the Bundesliga giants, he won 60, drew 14 and lost only 10. He won the league once and the German super cup twice since joining the club in 2021.

This is not the first time Spurs have been interested in signing him with the club making an attempt to sign him in 2021 after sacking Jose Mourinho. But he chose Bayern Munich at that time.

According to a report in The Telegraph 3 days ago, Tottenham were “set to seek talks” with the German about a potential move.

It also says that Nagelsmann is known to be an admirer of Spurs and used to keep a close eye on the team’s performances under Pochettino.

His appointment is also likely to influence Harry Kane’s decision to stay or leave the club with the England captain hinting that he is looking to stay in the Premier League and break Alan Shearer’s record.

Another report from Football Insider claims that the striker will be tempted stay at the club if the club is to replace Conte with the German.
