Five Premier League players worth more than Harry Kane including one ridiculous valuation

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in the world. The Englishman has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons, yet he remains one of the most reliable players around.

He has been at Spurs all his senior career except for a short stint away on loan.

Every summer he keeps getting linked with a move away from the Lilywhites, and should he agree to leave, there will be teams all over the world fighting for his signature.

There is hardly a striker in the Premier League who can guarantee more goals than Kane if the Englishman is fit, and I reckon that he is the most valuable player in the English top flight.

However, Sun Sport made a table of the most valuable players in the world and five Premier League players were listed before him among the top ten.

Kylian Mbappe tops the list followed by Raheem Sterling and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marcus Rashford, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mane all made up the top seven.

Kane came a distant 10th with a total value of £106m.

While I can accept some of the names on the list being above Kane, it is ridiculous to place Rashford above the World Cup Golden Boot winner.

Rashford is a good striker, but he is not and probably will never be more valuable than Kane.

Joke list, nobody is paying £159million for Jadon Sancho not even Man United.

Injury concerns might stifle the price unless he has a great and
uninterrupted season. Silly list that.

Kane is lower down because he’s 27. Age is a massive factor.

Assuming the player is under contract, Think of it like a simple formula:

Per Season Quality x No. years left = value.

That’s why Rashford is up there

DD most of the alternatives you list are too old. This table is for younger high potential players. It’s not a “Best of”.
