First Video Revealing The Sheer Size Of The NFL Build

By The Boy -

Let me remind you of truth.

“It is an NFL stadium and that’s the key message. From the very start during the design phase, we have had the NFL in mind. The anchor tenant is Tottenham Hotspur, but this is designed to be a permanent home for the NFL outside the US.”

THFC business lead, Aidan Mullally

I couldn’t watch the whole video. Not because I broke down in crocodile tears, but because I get bored extremely quickly by stuff I’m not vaguely interested in.

THFC may as well have teamed up with any number of other sports I couldn’t give a damn about. Rugby, bowls, golf, or synchronized swimming.

Of course, because I wasn’t dropped on my head as a baby, I also begin to get riled; hundreds of millions of football money has been sunk in to paying for this sideshow.

If you want to justify this cavort, kindly do it elsewhere. There must be an NFL blog out there simply dying to hear your thoughts.

There’s another danger lurking, namely the Haringey Council.

Nobody stays in post forever, and there is a bucketful of ill feeling towards THFC in the borough (yes there is, Tappa) and that is what did for The Emirates as the big multifunction event venue. Locals have a tendency to get their teeth stuck in, sooner or later.

Key factor here is where ENIC see the future. If it was just football the stadium build would’ve probably been cut by a third in cost and build time.

Sooner these chancers sell up and move on the better. Our club is crying out for an owner who wants to win things… an owner who invests in success and the thing that brings it.

Do I want a sugar daddy who buys success…. ? You betcha I do. History won’t show how much was spent ….

The main arguments seem to be the money for getting through the rounds of the WC and their dispracy. So, yeah its nonsense to compare the sports like that. Its a completely different world competition wise.

NFL plays 16 regular season games, and 4 exhibiton/preseason games. So 10 home games, and possibly one or two more if they are in the playoffs.

That’s about half of the revenue a football club playing a 38 game schedule, 2 cup competitions, and the Champions league would generate. So, no, the NFL is not going to “take over”. Given that the shortest flights between NFL cities and London are 8hrs and the longest over 11hr, and the longest within the US are 6hr, I don’t see London becoming a permanent host for an NFL team.

See that USA woman’s player using winning woman’s WC to whine about equal pay. Well woman get 13% of revenue and Men get 9% equivalent of their game revenue so yeah….equal it up. Seriously, have these ladies got any idea what bollox they’re spouting. More people watched the World cup final than the the ENTIRE woman’s WC. Revenue for woman’s WC was 100 million or so, for men’s its approx 4 billion. Just shut up. Get paid on par with the men and the woman’s game would be bankrupt ffs. Nobody cares.

Your confusing overall WC revenues vs country revenues? (I’m guessing that not knowing where you got your stats). Usw are not suing fifa, they are suing usfederation because the wnt have made more money then the mens for the last 3 years & make significant less. Also had to go on protest last wc in Canada because they wanted them to play on turf. Not sure what your argument is here.

Its not just the US. They’ve all been going on about equal pay for ages. Overall the US men’s team are making more according to what I’ve read. I guess they used a WC fluctuating the figures this year.

Also the competitive element. She said oh we’ve won again it can’t be ignored. But its a totally different thing. There’s only about 4 or 5 woman’s teams that really challenge each other and the US have been at the forefront of women’s football and will win all the time. I suppose its different in their national debate than clubs though. So many ways revenue is calculated. Agenda behind this as always though.

Just the use of the term “anchor tenant” immediately places a degree of separation between the football club and the stadium as separate entities. This now indicates that the stadium funded from debt that resides with THFC is an independent multi-event venue in which “soccer” as Daniel refers to it is one of those events. If you look at the size of the NFL changing rooms and entrance into the stadium and compare it with the football clubs changing room and entrance onto the pitch you get an immediate indication of the long term strategy. Little Daniel and Uncle Joe are hoping that the stadium becomes a central focus for the NFL in Europe and that as a result they get bought out and the NFL take over. At that time the new owners will then be focusing all their attention on the NFL and THFC may end up being a minor sideshow tenant and the NFL become the anchor tenant.

Enic really put alot of eggs in this basket. Yes NFL wants to expand overseas & yes london is a prime target. But alot has to go right for them to cash in. One, an open team, dont think the raiders will be leaving Vegas anytime soon. Expectually if they are able to change the betting rules in the state. Leaves only fulams owning panthers. ( maybe one of the la teams leave?)
2nd- yes its only 6 hrs from nyc to london. But 12 from west coast & division games now will take a full day to get to. Doubt players or player union gonna be thrilled with that.
3rd- & most important. We spent how many extra millions on the stadium for maybe extra revenues with a maybe coming NFL team when a fraction of that money invested in players most likely gets us a few trophies. Or definitely makes our team better………

I simply don’t see the NFL thing taking off over here.

They tried it in the late 80s and local NFL clubs sprang up. Hell, I even went a couple of times to watch a mate play.

Problem? The British don’t truly get stuck into things that aren’t 100% British.

Quick Google tells us that 150,000+ UK citizens play hockey, whereas only 26,000+ play US Football and that number is shrinking.

It’s not our ground, simple as that. Begrudgingly they allow us to play there, make them millions once a fortnight and that’s the depth of the link to THFC. See nobody has bid for the Danish one. There’s a shock, dead ball expert who can’t beat the first man, scored one free kick in about 3 seasons, doesn’t get loads of goals, gets a few assists primarily because of who’s in front of him, doesn’t tackle, and basically downed tools which would lead you to think he’s weak minded as well. Wonder why??? But the thing here is, if nobody else really wants him, is he good enough then? Scouts will report back the truth and not what big nose Alan Smith and the other media mafia tell us about him

Tottenhams biggest buisness has just got bigger. Simple as that really. “I’ll feelings?) That’s the gooners dem working at the council. (Jealous☺). All Tottenham have to do is keep paying Haringey their millions and everything will be sweet. The new stadium is good for Tottenham and Tottenham/haringey. NFL boxing concerts I’m for it all here. I’m proud. No one misses the old lane like I do but I wouldn’t go back to her. First time in 1972. Walked past her 1000s of times. Never did any welding fabrication stuff there. Can’t say the same about the new place☺. Only stuck in the past people, negative and jealous people slag off the new place. Glory coming boys. Coys.

Like you, Harry, I can’t be arsed watching a video about NFL as it does not interest me in the slightest. No disrespect to our American posters but my perspective about NFL is that it is a game ruined by copious advertising, just too stop-start for my liking. But each to his own. I have no doubt that it was designed as an NFL stadium but to seriously come out and say it publicly when the ‘anchor tenant’ is a major football club and built in it’s historic home, with no regular NFL tenant, is so incredibly stupid as to be commercial suicide.

Couldn’t agree more, I started supporting Spurs in 1962 when we were a proper football club.
After the initial excitement with the singing of N’dombele, finally a replacement for Dembele, it’s all gone quiet, despite rumours, no doubt put about by Levy’s acoylites about Ceballos, Lo Celso, Dani Olmo and Uncle Tom Cobley. I reiterate sell Deli Alli. Anybody who flies his” barber” out to St Tropez and then boasts about it is a twat.

I’m proud. No one misses the old lane like I do but I wouldn’t go back to her. First time in 1972. Walked past her 1000s of times. Never did any welding \fabrication stuff there. Can’t say the same about the new place☺. Only stuck in the past people, negative and jealous people slag off the new place. Glory coming boys. Coys.

*HH. Indeed. Nothing good can come of selling your soul at the expense of the community around you.

The big problem with the NFL thing is that it’s been threatening to be the next big thing – since god was a child – and it’s never happened.

I’m still trying to figure out what’ll be worse. An NFL franchise or some such resident in the stadium or the whole NFL thing to be a waste of time and money and ending up unused.

Adebayor would’ve been the last player of note we had on loan.

How could I have forgotten about him of all people?

See that USA woman’s player using winning woman’s WC to whine about equal pay. Well woman get 13% of revenue and Men get 9% equivalent of their game revenue so yeah….equal it up. Seriously, have these ladies got any idea what bollox they’re spouting. More people watched the World cup final than the the ENTIRE woman’s WC. Revenue for woman’s WC was 100 million or so, for men’s its approx 4 billion. Just shut up. Get paid on par with the men and the woman’s game would be bankrupt ffs. Nobody cares.

Sadly Panama the Levyologists will ignore the damage to our legacy and hail the new emperor once again.
On the subject of Ceballos, wasn’t his deal to be a season long loan?I can’t recall the last loan signing we made if indeed there have been any.It just doesn’t seem to be our method of operating.

Oh, and Dalmat a few years later

Andy Booth anyone? He’s the one loan signing I can recall. A handful of appearances for Spurs in 2001 by a bloke who couldn’t get a game for relegated Sheffield Wednesday.

I had a job as custodian of the local library. I was sacked…..dunno what their problem was, all I did was burn all the books and install a plastic ball pit and big wheel one night…..

Looking at that statement again it gets more unbelievable. We should av chained ourselves to the Lanes turnstiles until this lot fucked off to Patagonia for good.

Problem is H, this ain’t the sideshow….its the main event. The “custodian” should be a tarot card now. If you draw it, a charlatan will come into your life and destroy it.

Scum.

Anybody who flies his” barber” out to St Tropez and then boasts about it is a twat.

its a bloody disgrace.
I have been a Spurs supporter all my life, I watched the Double Team.
Levy has betrayed this historic club and has used its history, its gravitas, and its true supporters to turn WHL into a cash cow.
