Tottenham Hotspur has yet to add this January transfer window, but it’s not to say that the north London club isn’t trying to work out a deal for a player to join them this month.

According to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, who stated on his Here We Go Podcast that Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici has an admiration for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Adama Traore.

Over the past few months, the north London club has been connected to the 25-year-old, which began when Tottenham hired Nuno Espírito Santo. However, the rumors haven’t gone away even with Antonio Conte taking over the managerial role.

“Yes, talking about Tottenham, they will go for a center-back, the priority is a center-back, but let’s also see if they will also go for a winger. We have had a lot of rumors about Adama Traore, he is super appreciated by Fabio Paratici, the Tottenham Sporting Director, but it’s not going to be easy,” Romano said.

Despite Traore not having a goal or an assist all season, it doesn’t seem to affect Spurs’ interest in the Spain international, who has 18 months left on his contract and has yet to extend with Wolves.

As a result, the Premier League club is in a position where they have to decide whether to risk having him for another six months and take less in the summer or take the fee this month, which will be higher.

If we are here talking about Traore to change the course of our season. We are totally F’. We need a striker, I would go for Josh King short term that can help the team at that position. Lenglet of Barca and Maybe Nandez for added spine to the midfield. In my humble opinion I would have gone after Martial to test ManU than wasting time and money of Traore. Bisouna of Brighton would be a good one box to box mid in case Kessie does not sign. I think that would be smart money to replace Winks and PEH long term. I fully expect the kniwn outgoings to be gone by summer and we all know who they are. We cannot have 2 starters that cannot make a forward pass and my money is on Skipp staying a head of PEH. See, we cannot want players in without looking at how it affects the balance. If a guy like Kessie and a creative comes in one of the 2 will not play. Simple we do not have the caliber of starters to wait like Chelsea and City.

Maybe Conte can do what Mark Hughes done to Moussa Dembele and converted him from a CF to CM. Traore crossing isnt that great but his passing isnt that bad. He dribbles alot and has the most completed dribbles by far in in the premier league. He isnt starting for Wolves because he isnt signing the new contract that has been offered to him for a long time.

Very good signing ,he has no end product but how he draws and opens up spaces is unbelievable, liverpool ,man city ,chelsea ,man united (every time ) have been destroyed by this guy, with kane and son nowadays being man marked out the game,Adama being on the pitch can make space for them

Its not going to be easy to get Traore says Romano.

Yes and, Spurs must join the queue of top English and European clubs clamouring for his signature.

Can that group of transfer geniuses at Spurs beat Man City, Liverpool, PSG and Real Madrid to sign Traore?

So far Para has given us Royal and Gollini, so much for him knowing what he is doing.

Oh great, another head down direct winger, just what we need! He doesn’t even start for Wolves nowadays. We need a new centre back, right back, creative midfielder/no.10 and centre forward, not a player like Traore.

What made Para think that Gollini would be Good at the third time of asking? Apart from Romero who is always injured his players don’t inspire as does Traore not either.

I think its coming clearer with each passing day if these reports are true that Patrici is absolutely clueless and fits perfectly into the Levy mold.

Other teams have already started their business with little fuss while we are dragging our heals with the same wrong players over and over and yet get nothing done.

Newcastle got Trippier, Aston Villa got Coutinho and Everton have signed two players. All better than what we got.

Im not saying we should have gone for them(probably dont fit Contes style) but at least get business done goddamit it.

So if Conte was late in getting here, and we are still chasing Traore. Is this a coincidence or he happens to like the same guy as Paratici even at the expense of putting in a token effort to find a striker? This getting back to Poch days of him saying the right thing yet we ended up late in the window with after thoughts. Time we make a statement of intent and Adama is not close to an utterance of possibility to have real quality now or in the summer.
