Fabrizio Romano reveals the summer transfer demands Antonio Conte has for Tottenham

This summer will be crucial for Tottenham Hotspur if the north London club wants to seriously contend for trophies next season. Manager Antonio Conte is hopeful that management plans to back him financially to turn the squad into one that challenges for trophies.

During an appearance on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano states that the Italian tactician will want many names, which isn’t surprising considering his demands for clubs to make significant financial commitments.

“When Antonio says about ambition, it means to sign important players to rebuild parts of the team, so he’s doing a miracle, in my opinion, with this team,” Romano said.

“At the same point, he knows that it’s impossible next season – especially if you have Champions League football, so another important competition – to continue with the same team, so they need to sign many important players. When I say many, I mean like three, four important signings.”

At Inter Milan, Conte had the Italian club spend money to land players like Achraf Hakimi, Romelu Lukaku, Nicolò Barella, and other players that would eventually help them win the Scudetto

Conte hopes that Tottenham can aid him with the funds that he needs to replicate what he’s done at Inter Milan, Chelsea, and Juventus.

However, if they fail to do so, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see him exit since he did it last year when Inter Milan wanted to cut back on spending, leading to the sales of some key players.
